Worry Is Expensive

Mathew 6:25-34

“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. 26 Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds. 27 “Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? 28 All this time and money wasted on fashion – do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, 29 but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them. 30 “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers – most of which are never even seen – don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?31 What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. 32 People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. 33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. 34 “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (Bible study tools.com)

1.) Worry discounts grace (Matt. 6:26) Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

Gods grace is the reason we have anything we have, including life. Trust God to give you what you need, and maintain what’s necessary for you to live on.

2.) Worry Distracts Gratitude ( Matt. 6:30 NLT) And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

You must have forgotten! To say thank you for all God has done for you. Thank God for the excess, everything we have, even just for the the ability to inhale/exhale.

3.) Worry Diminishes Growth (Matt. 6:32 NLT) These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your Heavenly Father already knows your needs.

If we believe we will not worry about our destiny. Meaning God can correlate our worry to our growth. Worry less, grow more & worry more, grow less. Timothy 4:15 NLT– Give your complete attention to there matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress.

4.) Worry Delays Gifting (Matt. 6:33 NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

Our worry consumes us to where we allow the manipulation of this world to cause us to not focus on our Grace, Gratitude, Growth preventing our readiness for God’s gifts. Not materialistic items, but the gifts God placed within you to bring fourth to the world to change lives. Romans 12:6 NLT- In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

Let the spirit of worry go back to the pit where it came from. Let go of worry and hold on to The hand, the word, the trust in God’s ability to provide all we need.

Jahbless you all, friends, family, readers, we are all a piece to this puzzle of world peace and love. We are and always will be stronger unified. -L.H.
