What’s my next move!

John 20:19-23

1.) Receive your forgiveness (John 20:21)

The disciples were in the upper room trying to figure out which one of them caused Jesus to die on Calvary. In (Matthew 26:21-22) it says, “ while they were eating, he said, “ I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me.” Greatly distressed, each one asked in turn, “ Am I the one, Lord?” He sees beyond our faults, and still wants us to have peace. He forgives you, forgive yourself, and he will still use you.

2.) Reaffirm your faith

Faith is going without knowing where you are going. Going where God is sending you without requiring him to tell you the destination. Romans 1:17 says This Good news tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “ it is through faith that a righteous person has life.” If God told us where He would be sending us, it would be beyond our comprehension. He wants us to just be present and ready to go when and where he wants us to go.

3.) Reverence your fellowships (John 20:22) He breathed on them, receive the Holy Spirit. Previously he said I’m sending you. God never intended on us to operate isolated. He breathed on them, sending them as one unit with one assignment in different destinations. Tell them who the Lord is. (1 Thessalonians 5:11) So encourage each other and build each other in, just as you are already doing. The circle of relationships we place ourselves in should be complimentary, where you are weak another is strong, where you are strong another is weak. Iron sharpens iron, build each other up.

4.) Redirect your fears. He says as the Father sent me, I am sending you. Meaning He sent us to do what he did. To love others unconditionally, be an instrument of healing, an instrument of encouragement, a friend closer than a brother, instrument of deliverance.

Our confidence overrides our fear. (Psalms 27:3) Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.
