To submit yourself to God, to abandon all of your fleshly desires and motives, is the key to open the door of eternal life. Such a statement is satisfying yet overwhelming even for me. Having to break bonds and habits that don’t support the purpose or tasks we’re meant to live out can truly be obstinate. The power of free will, choice, is such a great gift and is one of many reasons why we should choose to submit to the will of God expressed in His teachings. – L.H.
